Rogier de Pijper likes to work with composers who are interested in writing new music for flute, including extensive techniques. This has led to collaborations with various composers all over the world. Flute Colors first published an original piece for flute composed by Alex Ford.

Based in London, Alex is an award-winning composer for the concert hall alongside his role as head of music at Reedham Park School. Alex is published by ALRY Publications and Flute Colors publications.  He has had performances by top performers from around the world. Alex studied his Master’s degree in composition under Francis Pott at the London College of Music in Ealing. He was named the winner of the FNMC new music competition 2019 and his work ‘Pan’ was listed as a finalist in the 2019 National Flute Association new music competition. He has had his music performed across Europe and the US.
