Not only angels sing this piece but now we can also play it on the flute the Flute Colors way! The pizzicato notes form a second (and sometimes fourth) part. A very nice coordination exercise.

Playing two melodies as one player is a technique often used in Baroque music. Key clicks are perfect tools to practice technique. The regular notes are the melody and the key clicks the accompaniment. Your finger movement has to be very precise otherwise the key clicks will tell you.
Quartertones are fascinating. The fingerings often produce a different kind of sound. The intonation should be precise. Sometimes you have to help the note a little bit by bending the note down. Start with the exercise to get used tot he fingerings and to get the intonation right.
Singing and playing really can help you to improve your sound. Once you get the hang of it, you will improve. Remember that only working on the techniques, even if it feels you’re unsuccessful, will help you improve. You can adjust the level of this piece. Start by singing and playing simultaneously. Mind the intonation. In the second level sing the second (voice) part and play the flute part. Practise slowly. And for those who need challenge, sing and play the two parts at letter B. After studying the singing and playing, play the piece without singing and notice the difference!
This beautiful melody is perfect for practicing tone bending. You can use this piece as an exercise or play the whole piece. All parts are ad lib. except for the first part. The greatest challenge is to get the intonation right!
I really like playing music by Corelli. It is often playful and it makes me happy. Now you can practice your flutter tongue, key clicks and pizzicato while playing this nice duet for two flutes or flute and bass flute.
